Monthly Painting Competition
March – Color Budget
The goal of the AcePaints Monthly Painting Competition is to make miniature painters try out and learn new techniques. Every month a theme is chosen that the painters will have to use in their piece. Anyone can participate in the competition and the painters can use any choice of paints, brushes, or minis (including custom made bases and miniatures). The entries will be judged by the viewers of the AcePaints live stream on the last day of the month. The winner will receive a miniature painted by AcePaints in the same theme as the one of competition was. (Free shipping under 10 dollars.)
Yooooooo We painting on a budget baby! All I gots 4 paints, I bet you can’t paint with only 4 paints! oh? think you can? PROVE IT! Let’s kick this month off with a fun little painting challenge that everyone can take part in. The theme will be to use only 4 colors of paint!
The theme of this month is color budget.
Paint any miniature with the actual monthly theme.
Take pictures of the model (limit to 5 per entry).
Send the pictures to acepaintsminis@gmail.com with the subject March Contest – YourTwitchName
Be here on the last day of the month to judge the contest! You don’t have to show up, but the more judges the better. Each person will vote and we will anonymously view the entries.
First place wins the model that I also do in the same theme but it will not be entered or judged.
Rules:
You can only use 4 choices of paints, This can be any kind of paint of your choice! but you can ONLY use those 4 bottles of paint.
You can mix your choice of 4 paints to make any new shades or colors, but you can ONLY use your 4 choices of paint.
Washes inks and Shades are considered a choice of paint, You can however create your own shaders from your 4 choices of paint.
You can add Water, Medium, Thinner, or Glaze/Gloss to your 4 paints, but you CAN NOT add new colors of paint to the 4 color choices.
Primer does not count, all models can and should be primed.
